JAMES MARTIN'S GIN
When James Martin creates a signature Gin, you get something very special.
James Martin is a true phenomenon in the culinary world. With a Michelin star, over 28 cookbooks and countless BBC and ITV TV programs on his resume, this cheerful chef has become known for his honest and culinary style. It was a long-cherished dream to develop a tasteful Gin. Rich in flavour and a combination of traditional and bold organic botanicals. A real taste experience that every Gin lover would appreciate.
After a year of development, testing, tasting and starting over, we have finally succeeded in putting together a unique product. We are therefore proud to present the first Signature James Martin's Gin. This handmade and slow distilled Gin is made in small batches and was honoured with a Gold Medal at the 2021 Las Vegas World Spirits Awards.
It all starts with Organic Juniper, Coriander and Angelica, the base of most traditional craft Gin’s. We added some elements for extra layers of flavour with Orris root, Ginger, Lemongrass, Pine, dried Valencia Orange peel, zest from the famous Limoncello Lemons and a few secret ingredients to create a silky smooth, flavour rich, Gin.
Rich in taste and truly a "proper" Gin.
The development of James Martin’s Gin was an interesting process that started in the summer of 2020. Creating the botanical bill, selecting the right sources for the botanicals and finally distilling numerous test runs to fine tune the recipe we use today.
It all starts with Organic Juniper, Coriander and Angelica, the base of most traditional craft Gin’s. We added some twists for extra layers of flavour in Orris root, Ginger, Lemongrass, Pine. dried Valencia Orange peel, zest from the famous Limoncello Lemons and a few secret ingredients. We steep the ingredients overnight to let them slowly release those exquisite flavour elements. Then we slowly heat up the still to the desired temperature and the infused vapours rise up the column and condensate in the cooling tower. The condensation is crucial to the process as at a certain temperature range we collect the flavours we need in our Gin. After a slow distillation of about 7 hours in total we have collected the prime spirit and dilute this with pure distilled water to 44% ABV. The Gin is rested for another 4 weeks to fully mature in to our Award winning Gin.
